How do I get to Samadhi Eco Resort?
Your journey to Samadhi Eco Resort will most likely begin at Temuco’s airport, La Araucania International Airport. There are car hire options at Temuco airport, or we are happy to help organize airport transfers.
Do I need to rent a car during my stay?
Samadhi Eco Resort chose its location to promote a sense of freedom and space. The nearest town (Vilcun) is 17km away, with nearly half of the journey being dirt road. Most people have come and hardly left the paradise during their stay except for day trips organized through our tour guide, however, if you would like to adventure out on your own then we recommend hiring a car.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check in time is 3pm and check out time is12pm. Please email us at info@SamadhiEcoResort.com if earlier and/or later times are preferable - we would love to accommodate you in any way possible, and will try our best to meet your needs.
Do you have a minimum night stay?
Yes, we have a two night minimum stay in both the container cabins and tube rooms.
Do you have quiet times?
Yes, out of consideration for all guests we have quiet times between 11pm - 8am Monday through Thursday. Please note that this time can be extended at any time out of consideration for other guests.
Do you have an onsite restaurant?
At this time we do not have an onsite restaurant. However, we will offer BBQ nights and other special get togethers throughout the week.
How do I do food shopping?
You can do your own food shopping in Vilcun or Temuco. Vilcun has a supermarket, and in Temuco there are different supermarkets. Samadhi Eco Resort also offers a delivery service that can do your food shopping for you. Alternatively, you can shop in our organic greenhouse and crops for fruits, herbs and vegetables, either picking your own or having them delivered to your cabin.
Do you provide a custom-stocked fridge, pantry and bar service?
Yes! We will send you a list of food and beverages with the respective prices and service delivery charge, so you can have your kitchen and bar stocked with your selected groceries and drinks upon arrival.
Can I drink the water on Samadhi Eco Resort?
Yes! Even though the water quality in the Lake District is considered good, we have water filters in all the cabins and in the tube room communal kitchen.
Can I bring and use any products?
No. We ask that you only bring natural and/or organic products that have the least impact on the environment. We do not allow products with harmful chemicals in any of our water sources, or in nature. So using products with harmful chemicals in the bathroom, kitchen or anywhere else is prohibited. Please check with us if you are unsure about bringing certain products.
Do the cabins and communal bathroom have free amenities?
All cabins and the communal bathroom have dispensers with natural shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. We have chosen to use liquid dispensers as they have proven to significantly reduce waste. We do not, however, have shower caps, sewing kits and any other amenities in the rooms and communal bathroom. These items are seldom used and therefore we have chosen to further reduce the possibility of waste by not having them in the cabins and the communal area. If you need any of these items please contact one of our team members and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.
Is there Wi-Fi? Does it always work?
Yes, each cabin and the communal area of the concrete tube rooms have Wi-Fi access. There may be times when there are power outages that are beyond our control, and then there may be a disruption in signal.
Will I have phone service?
That will depend on your phone carrier as we are in a remote area we cannot guarantee your phone service will work here. However, there is Wi-Fi and a land line in the main cabin.
Are there bugs?
Yes, being in a forested area there are the regular bugs enjoying their natural habitat. We allow natural bug spray to be brought onto Samadhi.
Can I bring family member's children and/or friends that are minors (under the age of 18) with me?
Yes! As long as you have documentation showing the child is related to you, or that you have permission to travel with the minor. This can be in the form of a passport, birth certificate, and/or notarized/certified document from the parent.
What is the weather like?
The one thing you can almost be certain about in the Lake District is experiencing rain at some point during your trip. Throughout the year there are wonderfully gorgeous and sunny days, especially in summer. During winter, there is a lot of rain. We highly recommend you check the weather forecast and average temperatures for the time you will be visiting.
What should I pack?

Do I need to bring my own rain gear?
It is highly recommended that you bring rainproof gear, as we are in the Lake District that is known for its wet climate.
Do I need a plug adaptor?
It depends where you are traveling from. Chile uses round power sockets type C (standard Euro plug) and L (Italian origin). The standard voltage is 220V and the standard frequency is 50HZ. If you do not have plugs that are these kinds, you will need an international adaptor for the plug and voltage.
Do you have a laundry service?
Yes! We have a laundry service that we offer twice a week. Committing to laundry services only twice a week helps us reduce energy, water and resource consumption, thus lowering our impact on the environment.
Do we have to pay for the art projects Samadhi Eco Resort offers?
No :) All art projects are offered as a courtesy to our guests. It is our pleasure to share these experiences with you and/or your children. To enhance this creative time, we try to organize all art projects according to the feedback forms we receive from families visiting at that time.
Am I allowed to bring my pet?
No, unfortunately at this time we do not have facilities to accommodate pets.
Do you have animals?
Yes! There are dogs, a cat, chickens, goats and other wonderful well-loved animals on Samadhi Eco Resort.
Do you have housekeeping?
As part of our sustainability initiative, we will only have your accommodations deep cleaned at the end of your stay. However, we will have check-ins throughout your stay to make sure you have everything you need.
May we smoke inside?
No. Smoking is not permitted inside any structure - including the cabins, tube rooms and communal areas. A cleaning fee is charged if this is not respected. We further ask that you respect non-smokers and step away from communal events and areas to smoke.
Do you offer childcare?
No, at this time we do not offer childcare. However, during our evening get togethers at the main cabin, an adult will remain in the play area for up to 4 hours with the children as a courtesy, attending to any children age 4 and up. This in no way transfers the responsibility of the child onto the assigned adult - it is strictly a courtesy we offer to have an extra set of eyes directly on the play area. Children under the age of 4 need to be directly supervised by a parent in the play area at all times.
